SIR Thomas Boteler Church of England High School officially welcomed their Year 7 students into the school, at their recent Inauguration Service at St. Elphin’s Parish Church.

Headteacher Mrs Beverley Scott-Herron said: “It was fantastic to see the Church full with our parents, carers and families, and was truly amazing to be able to celebrate with them as their child embarks on their new high school journey. We are very proud of our new Year 7 students. They have already been demonstrating our High Expectations, High Aspirations and High Standards on a daily basis.”

The Student Leadership Body spoke about the life of the school and led the prayers. Mr Andy Moorcroft (CEO TCAT) spoke about ‘New Beginnings’. The congregation enjoyed a performance from Boteler’s student musicians. Mrs Scott-Herron sang a Gaelic blessing. The school hopes that the new Year 7 students left feeling they belonged to somewhere special.
