TWO fire crews were called out last night following reports of a bedroom fire at a property in Orford, Warrington.

At 21:09 crews from Warrington and Penketh were called to a residential property on Amelia Street, Orford.

Firefighters in breathing apparatus rapidly deployed into the building with a hose reel jet. Everyone was accounted for and the fire was put out.

A high-pressure fan was used to clear smoke, gas and electricity supplies were isolated and the loft space was inspected to ensure the fire hadn’t spread.

An investigation into the cause of the fire will be carried out.
