UPDATED: A 54-year-old man was arrested following an alleged public order offence in Lymm village last Friday night.
Cheshire Police have now cofirmed that at around 11.40pm on Friday 8 September police were called to reports of dispute near to the Grove in Lymm.
A Cheshire Police spokesperson said: “An Officer attended the scene and a 54-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of use of threatening and abusive language.
“The man has since been released on bail until 9 November 2023.”
At the time of the incident local police asked members of the community not to speculate on Social media or make any posts that may prejudice any subsequent legal proceedings.
