FIREFIGHTERS wearing breathing apparatus tackled a blaze involving a car in Manchester Road, Rixton, Warrington, last night.
The vehicle was well alight when a fire crew from Birchwood reached the scene shortly before 8pm.
A hose reel jet was used to extinguish the fire and dampen down the surrounding area. Police attended to control traffic.
The cause of the fire is believed to be accidental and there were no reports of injuries.
