A LUSH, green “summer park” has been created in a Warrington shopping centre to keep youngsters entertained during August.
The Old Market Place at Golden Square has taken on a summer park theme with grassed areas, picnic benches, giant games, Wendy houses and a giant sandpit for families and children to enjoy.
Every day throughout August there will be a different activity, from trampolining and volleyball to face painting and dancing.
Other activities include a teddy bears’ picnic, martial arts, spelling bees and rugby, tennis and badminton skills.
St Rocco’s will hold a fun day at the Old Market Place on Saturday August 13 which will feature lots of activities to keep the kids happy.
The park is open every day from 10am to 4pm.
Centre marketing manager Ian Cox said: “If you’re wondering what to do with the kids this summer then head to the centre for some exciting activities in our August Park.
“There’s something new to do every day and parents can relax in the picnic areas as the children enjoy all the fun there is to have.”
