Hospital lottery
ONE winner claimed the £900 jackpot prize in the weekly lottery run by the League of Friends of Warrington Hospital. The winning numbers were 1, 5, 7 and 14. A consolation prize of £25 was awarded to a member of hospital staff.

Plans refused
TWO retrospective planning applications for engineering works in connection with access to agricultural buildings at Oaktree Barn, Hatton Lane, Appleton, have been rejected by borough planners.

Art and craft
ART and craft sessions for youngsters aged 7-16 are being held at Westy Community Centre, Warrington on Tuesday, between 4.30pm and 6pm.

New shop
PLANS to convert a children’s play centre in Wilderspool Causeway, Warrington, into a non-food retail outlet have been approved by borough planning chiefs.

Treasure hunt
A TREASURE hunt is being organised at St Oswald’s Church, Winwick, Warrington next Saturday from 11am to 3.30pm in aid of the church restoration fund. Details are available from 01925 828048.

New café bar
PLANNING chiefs have given the go-ahead for a new restaurant café-bar in Bridge Street, Warrington, in premises previously used as a financial adviser’s office.
