Four fire crews tackle blaze at commercial building

FOUR fire crews were called out to tackle a blaze at a commercial building on Lovely Lane, Warrington.

At 18:03, yesterday, Saturday, crews from from Warrington, Penketh, Birchwood and an aerial ladder platform from Lymm attended at the premises following reports of a blaze in a courtyard that had spread to a building.

The fire is believed to have started in a brazier, which then grew to affect a nearby building.
Crews used two sets of breathing apparatus and two hose reel jets to extinguish the flames.
A thermal imaging camera was used to check for signs of hotspots.

In another icnident last night at 21:35 one crew from Lymm was called out to a fire involving on a bin on Stretton Road.
Firefighters used a hose reel jet to extinguish the small fire.
