FIREFIGHTERS wearing breathing apparatus tackled a suspicious blaze at a first floor flat in Warrington.
The blaze, shortly before midnight, involved a flat in Festival Crescent, Orford.
The occupants were out at the time and the fire started in a bedroom.
Four firefighters entered the property and extinguished the fire using a hose reel jet.
Smoke alarms were fitted in the property and activated, alerting neighbours who raised the alarm.
Cause of the outbreak is being investigated.
