THE historic Raven Inn at Glazebury is set to re-open after a lengthy campaign and major refurbishment.

Once earmarked for demolition and a new housing development the pub has now been returned to its former glory and will re-open next week.

Spokesperson Peter Sturman said: “Our much loved and sorely missed Raven Inn will open its doors to the general public, for the first time since September 2018.

“Saturday 12th of August at 12pm is a date and time for your diary. So, so many people have made this possible. We will be getting the excellent community pub we all deserve.
“We are very lucky to have Debs Guest as our manager. Debs has assembled a fantastic and experienced team.
“We will be doing some work, beforehand, to ensure we have everything in place for our official public opening on the 12th.
“Everyone who has contributed & there are hundreds & hundreds of you. Pat yourself on the back. You have all made this day possible.”
