ART and Design students in Warrington have produced a range of work that will be used as prizes in the town’s magistrate court.
The Priestley College teenagers were asked to produce a range of hand crafted and unique trophies to be used as prizes during the next academic year.
The court hosts a range of Mock Trial competitions for both college and school pupils in the area.
The Priestley students were invited to the courts in Arpley Street, for an afternoon in which bench chairman Geoff Hawley accepted the trophies on behalf of the court.
The designs are a mixture of contemporary and traditional themes and were produced using a range of materials.
Mr Hawley said: “It was so very pleasing to welcome the students from Priestley to Warrington Magistrates Court as they delivered their excellent trophies to us.
“The time and effort that the students put in to produce these pieces was very evident by the quality of the results. The trophies will now allow us to reward those who are successful in our future Mock Trial competitions.”
