A LIFE-saving automated external defibrillator may be provided in Stockton Heath if local fundraising is successful.
Members heard that local resident Joanne Lawrence-Howard is trying to raise money to provide the machine for the village – expected costs is £900 plus VAT.
Police have agreed it could be located in the police station in Victoria Square. Officers will be trained to use the machine and maintenance will be carried out by the police.
Members are to liaise with other local parish councils to see if they want to contribute towards the cost.
