Nottingham Knocker arrested for Recall to Prison

1

A “Nottingham Knocker” has been arrested for Recall to Prison after going door-to-door in the Warrington area claiming to be on a Prison Release Scheme.

No such Prison Release Scheme exists and is a scam.

The arrest by Hatton, Walton and Stretton Police following repoirts of “Nottingham Knockers” operating in South Warrington.

Posting on social media about the latest incident a police spokesperson said: “Following on from my last post oregarding the Nottingham Knockers again visiting the Warrington South area, claiming to be on a ‘Prison Release Scheme’ is great, until we check and find out you should actually be on the ‘Prison Return Scheme’ instead and arrest you for Recall to Prison!”

It follows on from Appleton Police dealing with a report of a male going door-to-door near to London Road selling household items from a rucksack.

Police advise that if cold callers come knocking please remember to say no and if you have any concerns to call 101.
*Nottingham Knockers are usually a group of people driven into the local area from Nottingham selling household goods from ruck sacks at inflated prices claiming they are on a Prison Release Scheme.
