Firefighters check house after a fire in the garden

FIREFIGHTERS carried out thorough checks of a house in Greenwood Crescent, Warrington after a fire in the garden.
The blaze was close to the side of the property and had blackened the brickwork, so the crew used a thermal imaging camera to make sure there was no heat spread.
They also carried out an examination of the loft and roof space to ensure the flames had not spread.
They used a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire itself.
