THE Gravity bar restaurant currently known as Newtons is seeking planning permission to create a seating area in Time Square as part of a rebrand.

Plans involve change of use from public square outside their premises in Time Square, into an area of external seating area and alterations of front signage.

The proposal seeks to create an external seating area similar to the neighbouring tenant The Botanist which is ahigh end cocktail bar. The furniture proposed will be large park style benches with planters to define the seating area.
Electric heaters are also proposed to be installed. The furniture is proposed to be moved inside the Gravity premises each evening.

Gravity is planning on re-branding the more grown up area which contains pool, golf and darts. This area is currently called Newtons and is going to be rebranded as Gravity Social. As a result the sign is proposed to be changed. The sign will remain the same size and be of similar LED light tube construction and finish.

Warrington Borough Council planners will decide on the application under delegated powers.
