Orford Lane remains closed for urgent repairs to electrical faults

ORFORD Lane near the junction of the busy A49, remains closed this morning (Monday) for ongoing emergency works due to two electrical faults.

Scottish Power is carrying out emergency repairs to two mains faults on Orford Lane.

To safely continue the works Orford Lane remains closed and traffic diverted down Lythgoes Lane and Battersby Lane.

To safely continue the works Orford Lane will be closed and traffic diverted down Lythgoes Lane and Battersby Lane.

Work will continue over the weekend.

Diversions are in place on the 21 because a road is blocked. Orford Lane is closed due to emergency roadworks. Service 21 will divert via Winwick Road and Longford Street and then resume normal route.
