FIREFIGHTERS from Penketh were called out to reports of a tree on fire at Great Sankey, earlier today Thursday.
At 11:41 firefighters were alerted to reports of a tree on fire on Whittle Hall Lane.
The tree was well alight. Firefighters used a hose reel jet to put the fire out and a thermal imaging camera to check a shed that was close by for hotspots.
No cause has been given for the fire.
