Fundraiser launched for mother who “lost everything” in house fire

A fundraising appeal has been launched for a Warrington mother who lost everything, including many sentimental items belonging to her children, in a house fire last Thursday.

Initial fire investigations suggest the blaze, which destroyed the kitchen of the property on Edgewater Park, was caused by a shiny object reflecting in the garden.

As well as destroying the kitchen of the property, the rest of the building was smoke logged.

Now a crowdfunding page has been set up by local resident Dani Woods, who said: “I have set this page up to help to fundraise for the lovely Liz that you will probably all know from Lidl, Elizabeth Barnes.
“Tragically Liz suffered a massive house fire on Thursday afternoon and has lost everything including lots of sentimental items. Please give what you can to help her replace the items that can be replaced. Thanks for your support.
“She has lost cherished photos and items belonging to her children.”
