FIREFIGHTERS were called out earlier today, Wednesday, to tackle a peat fire in a woodland area at Daresbury, near Warrington.
At 11:51 today, firefighters used beaters and a water backpack to put out a fire in a wooded area in Daresbury, Warrington.
They dug out the area as it involved a peat fire, approximately 15m x 4m. The area was then dampened down.
