Police warning over sinkhole at Appleton after cyclist injured

POLICE are warning cyclists and road users of a “sinkhole” on Red Lane, Appleton, Warrington.

The Sinkhole on Red Lane opposite Birtchdale Road, Appleton, was coned off by police.

Local police say a cyclist fell off their bike at the spot and suffered a broken collarbone.
UPDATED: It’s understood highways attended and repaired the sinkhole yesterday, Tuesday.

Warrington Borough Council highways have been contacted.
