POLICE arrested a drink drug driver at Burtonwood who was also found to be in possession of an offensive weapon.

It is the latest in a number of similar incidents with the latest arrest hopefully getting the message out that it is not acceptable to drink or drug drive and police are aware of a lot more are doing it.

Also another driver of a very large HGV going through Burtonwood village was stopped and dealt with for ignoring weight limit restrictions.

Meanwhile police have also warned of a suspicious male operating in the Winwick Park area trying car doors.

Members of the public are asked to report any sightings on 101 or online, if male is seen at time and is committing crime call 999 and let them know where he is.
This is an opportunist thief and if you check vehicles and outbuildings are locked it gives him less opportunity.
