FIRE crews were called out over night and during the early hours of this morning tackling various deliberate fires in the open, including an abandoned boat in a field at Lymm.
At 01:52 this morning one crew from Lymm was called to reports of a fire in a field off Pepper Street, Lymm.
The fire involved an abandoned boat in the middle of a field which was put out by firefighters using a water backpack. The fire is believed to have been started deliberately.
Meanwhile, last night at 21:26 one crew from Warrington was called to reports of a fire in a wooded area off Blackshaw Drive, Westbrook.
A water backpack was used to put it out and police were informed due to a large number of youths being in the area.
Earlier at 20:56 one crew from Warrington was called to reports of a fire in a wooded area off Somerset Way, Woolston.
Firefighters used a water backpack to extinguish a fire which is believed to have been started deliberately and police were informed.
Finally at 00:04 this morning one crew was called to a fire on Waddington Close, Warrington.
The fire involved a fence panel and rubbish. A hose reel jet was used to extinguish it and dampen down the area. The fire is believed to have started accidentally.
