TWO members of the current Latchford Albion squad have been selected for international honours.
Forward Charlie McCurrie has been selected for England Universities for a third season and this year he has been named as vice-captain of the squad.
This follows a successful President’s Cup Series win in which Charlie played a starring role.
The selection is testament to the commitment shown as Charlie has been combining his studies with playing for his University side, and heading back to play for Latchford whenever possible.
Head coach Martyn Ellis has been appointed Assistant Coach of the England Community Lions Under 16’s ahead of their 2023 campaign against Wales, Scotland and Ireland.
Ellis had been initially working with the North West Community clubs, but the Assistant Coach post became available and he was duly offered the role.
Albion’s Under 16’s start their campaign this weekend when they travel to Wales for their opening fixture.
