Party in the Park helps raise funds and awareness for Armed Forces Community Support

A Party in the Park at Orford Park over the Bank Holiday weekend, helped raise funds for Warrington-based Armed Forces Community Support.

As a charity the group helps veteran with things like isolation and mental health.

Organiser Kate said: “I have been doing some fundraising to continue the support we give, it also enables the veterans to help put back into the community with things like the bike project when they receive donated bikes and fix them up, which then go back into the community.
“It helps veterans with their mental health and also they are interacting again with the public.”

The Party in the Park included a BBQ, bouncy castle, face painting, striker, tombola,tin can alley, cakes/drinks, as well as helping promote the charity and the work they do.
