Police still seek help on canal murder

POLICE are still seeking information about the incident that led to a 57-year-old angler being found dead in the canal at Sankey Valley Park, Warrington on Saturday.
Detectives are anxious to speak to anyone who was in the area around the park, close to Waterways, the Peace Centre or St Gregory’s High School on Saturday morning and believe they might have seen something significant
There was a football match taking place at the school at the time and the Peace Centre was busy with various activities taking place.
Police are appealing to people who were at either event, or in the park, to call them on 0845 458 0000.
A 40-year-old man, Anthony Ogburn, has been arrested, charged with murder of father-of-six Harry Morris and appeared before magistrates at Warrington.
He is currently being held in custody.
