UPDATED: TWO men were arrested for alleged drug offences after police were called to reports of a burglary at a property in Warrington.
It follows reports of a disturbance at a property on Annie Street, Warrington, yesterday, Sunday.
A Cheshire Police spokesperson said:”Shortly before 10am on Sunday 21 May police were called to report that two men were attempting to gain entry into an address on Annie Street, Warrington.
“Officers attended the scene and on arrival they found that the address was open.
“Upon entering the property officers found multiple bags of cannabis and other drugs paraphernalia.
The occupant of the address, a 35 -year-old man, was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class B drugs (Cannabis) and possession of an offensive weapon.
The man has since been released on police bail until 21 July pending further enquiries.
“A second man was also arrested in relation to the incident. The 32-year-old local man was arrested on of affray, possession of an offensive weapon and possession of class B drugs (cannabis).
He has also been released on police bail until 21 July pending further enquiries.”
