Firefighters tackle bin fire and deliberate fire in wooded area

FIRE crews were called out to tackle a bin fire and a deliberate fire in a wooded area in Warrington last night.

At 18:29 yesterday evening (Tuesday) one crew from Warrington was called out to reports of a bin fire in Museum Street in the town centre which was extinguished by firefighters.

Then at 21:12 one crew from Penekth was called out to reports of a fire in a wooded area off Burtonwood Road, Westbrook.

Firefighters used a water backpack to extinguish a small garden fire next to a wooded area. Police were also in attendance as the fire is believed to have been started deliberately.
