CARTOON characters proved a popular theme with floats taking part in the annual Thelwall Rose Queen Festival in Warrington.
Top picture shows the Little Wonders Day Nursery team dressed as The Flintstones while the Looseenders below joined in the fun dressed as characters from Scooby Doo.
Meanwhile Lymm High School pupil Claire Berry (pictured right) was crowned Rose Queen following a parade of floats through the village.
