A thief who stole a bicycle worth £2,000 from the Forge Shopping Centre in Stockton Heath has been jailed.

Perry Stanley aged 30 from Widnes attended Warrington Magistrate’s Court on 3rd May where he pleaded guilty to theft and received a prison sentence of 18 weeks. He was also ordered to pay £2,500 compensation to the victim.
He was arrested after police responded to a report that a black and yellow Nukeproof Mega pedal cycle had been stolen from the Forge Shopping Centre on London Road.

The bike has a retail price of around £2,000, and as part of their investigation police issued a CCTV image of a man that they believed had ‘vital information’. As a result Perry was identified and arrested.
