POLICE are asking parents in the Burtonwood area to check up on their children following increased reports of anti-social behaviour involving thefts from a local Co-op store.
Local PCSO Tony Spruce says the lighter nights has unfortunately brought an increasing number of reports of anti-social behaviour involving a small group of youngsters in the village.
He has received reports of a small group causing issues in the Clay Lane and Chapel Lane areas, including quite a few reports of theft from the local Co-op including “a group of youths that seem to think that everything is free and they can abuse the staff as they leave, again not acceptable.”
He added: “If your kids are out in the village please ask them what they are upto and if they seem to have free lucozade and snacks ask them where they come from and take them in to pay for it!”
