Passageway off Manchester Road to close to traffic to allow sewer repair works

A passageway off Manchester Road is set to close to allow United Utilities to carry out sewer repair works.

Warrington Borough Council has given notice it intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

The effect of which will be to introduce a prohibition of driving on Manchester Road Passageway rear of 360 to 370 from its junction with King Edward Street to its junction with King Edward Street Passageway rear of 3 to 25.
The Order will be effective from 15th May 2023 for 1 week, as and when signed on site. Access will be under the control of the relevant Contractor for the duration of the works. The alternative route will be signed on site. The closure is required to allow United Utilities to carry out sewer repair works.
