Police seek witnesses following reports of three armed youths at Orford

ARMED officers and the police helicopter were called out on Saturday evening following reports of three armed youths in the Orford area.

Having reviewed video footage police believe the youths were armed with a BB gun and say there are no reports the firearm was discharged.

A spokesperson for Cheshire Police said: “At around 7.10pm on Saturday 6 May, police were called to reports of three youths, possibly armed with a firearm, on Mardale Avenue, Warrington.

“Local officers, supported by the firearms unit and the police helicopter, were deployed to the scene and conducted a search of the area but were unable to locate the youths.

“After reviewing footage it is believed that the youths were possibly in possession of a BB gun. There were no reports that the firearm was discharged and there were no reports of any injuries.
