Town to tackle Premier teams

WARRINGTON Town will face Evo-Stik Premier League opposition in the build up to the new season including against one of manager Joey Dunn’s previous clubs.
Town will travel to Burscough for a pre-season friendly on Saturday July 23rd.
It will be a trip down memory lane for manager Joey Dunn, (pictured) who was assistant manager at Burscough prior to joining Warrington.
Burscough were due to be relegated to the Evo-Stik North but survived in the Premier division because Ilkeston Town folded during the season, leaving a space open for the highest placed relegated team.
It is also a trip down memory lane for Warrington Town secretary Keith Maguire who is looking forward to being reaquainted with some old faces. The match will kick off at 3pm.
Meanwhile Town will travel to Hednesford Town for a pre-season friendly fixture, on Saturday 30th July 2011.
he game in Cannock, Staffordshire will kick off at 3pm in what is the first meeting between the two sides for a number of years.
Hednesford have been transferred from Southern Premier League, into the Evo-Stik Premier Division for the 2011-2012 season.
Managed by Rob Smith, the former Football Conference side were formed in 1880 moving to their purpose built Keys Park home in 1996.
Their finest hour came in 1997 when they travelled to then Premier League club Middlesborough for an FA Cup 4th round tie.
Hednesford will be using the game to unveil their new kit and are allowing free admission to all fans.
The following week Warrington will be embarking to Ireland to defend the Styles & Co Peace Cup on Saturday August 6th.
