DETECTIVES from Warrington Proactive Policing Unit have charged three teenagers from Salford in connection with County Lines dealing class A drugs in the Orford area.

The arrests form part of an ongoing operation to tackle offenders coming across the border to deal illegal drugs in Warrington.

The trio were all arrested yesterday, Thursday, April 27 by plain-clothed officers who were carrying out an operation in the Orford area.

Following questioning, Talata Sheriff, aged 18, along with two teenage boys, aged 14 and 17, were all charged with two counts of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs (Heroin and crack cocaine).
All three were remanded in custody and appeared at Warrington Magistrates’ Court today, Friday 28 April.

Sheriff, of Todd Street, Salford, along with the 14-year-old boy from Salford, both pleaded guilty to the charges and have both been bailed for sentencing. Sheriff is set to be sentenced at Liverpool Crown Court on Friday 26 May.
The 17-year-old pleaded not guilty and has been released on bail to appear at Warrington Combines Court on Monday 29 May.

Detective Sergeant Christian Gordon, of Warrington Proactive Policing Unit, said: “Cheshire Constabulary and Warrington Proactive Policing Team operate a zero tolerance approach to County Lines drug dealers entering the town to deal class A drugs.
“Our officers will continue to undertake operations like this, to specifically target class A drug dealing within Warrington, helping with our continued efforts to make Warrington a hostile environment for criminals.
“Information from the public is also vital, and I would urge anyone with anyone with information to contact Cheshire police on 101 or visit https://www.cheshire.police.uk/tua/ .”
