COACHES from Everton FC, Cheshire Jets basketball team and Warrington Wolves were on hand to help local youngsters improve their game during a “Get Active” event.
Hundreds of children enjoyed a week of activities in Old Market Square, in Golden Square shopping centre, Warrington.
They met Warrington Wolves mascot Wolfie and many posed for photographs with the Challenge Cup and Wolves players Ryan Atkins and Ben Evans.
Children also enjoyed learning skills from the Football Freestylers and Warrington StagePro Academy.
The Get Active event marked the launch of the shopping centre’s new family website www.go-together.co.uk which provides information and offers for local families.
Centre marketing manager Ian Cox said: “The whole week was fabulous and we saw hundreds of kids come to the centre to enjoy themselves and get active.
“The events went down a storm, the atmosphere was buzzing and I’m sure all the children learned some exciting new sporting tricks from football and rugby to dance and cheerleading.”
