Fun Day
A COMMUNITY fun day is being held by the Dorchester Residents’ Association, Great Sankey, Warrington at Crosfields Rugby Club on Saturday, July 30, from 11am to 3pm.

Girls’ soccer
CROSFIELDS Junior Football Club are holding a girls’ football tournament at St Gregory’s High School, Great Sankey, Warrington, on Saturday, June 18.

Hospital lottery
WINNING numbers in the weekly lottery run by the League of Friends of Warrington Hospital were 4, 7, 8 and 14 – and one winner walked away with the jackpot prize of £1,639. A £25 consolation prize went to a member of hospital staff.

Birthday Queen
OLIVIA Monaghan celebrates her 10th birthday today – by being crowned queen at the annual Whitley Rose Queen Festival.

Lawyer retires
STUART Lawton, a senior partner at Steels Solicitors, of Stockton Heath, has retired after 37 years with the company. His father also worked there from the 1920s, retiring shortly before Stuart joined.

Pub closed
THE Noggin Inn at Risley, near Warrington, is to close on Monday while a £421,000 extension and refurbishment takes place. It is due to re-open on July 5.
