Culcheth and Glazebury get ready for an afternoon of Bank Holiday fun

DETAILS of the range of fun activities arranged for Culcheth and Glazebury Parish Council’s annual Community Day have been released.

There will be children’s rides, a display of classic cars, tractor and motorbikes and numerous charity stalls on Culcheth Village Green on Bank Holiday Monday, May 1.
There will also be events going on in Newchurch Parish Hall, Culcheth Methodist Church Hall and at the Culcheth Centre.
A programme of events will follow the official opening at 12 noon.

Three music sessions will be performed by local group Soundtrack, and children’s entertainer Ian “Zippy” Lees will also perform twice.
The “Mighty Smith” strongman show will be staged twice and the Northern Stars Dance and Fitness group will perform. There will also be a pet show.
The afternoon will end at 4.30pm.
A number of free stall sites remain available for charity groups that wish to fundraise. Details are available from the Parish Council.
