Drug-driver arrested for possessing offensive weapon and assault on emergency worker

A drug-driver has been arrested overnight by Warrington Police for possessing an offensive weapon and assaulting an emergency worker.

The male was arrested after failing to stop for officers and attempted to run away, however, he was too slow for two officers.

He was caught and arrested for failing to stop, Drug driving and possessing an offensive weapon, as well as driving without insurance and assaulting an emergency worker.

It was one of many incidents attended by Warrington Police, including domestics and drink drivers as well as policing the town centre.
