UP to 223 jobs could be created when work starts shortly on a development of 108 homes at Lymm.

The jobs will be in construction and the local supply chain.

Planning permission for the development at Tanyard Farm, off Rushgreen Road, has been granted by Warrington Borough Council, as reported by Warrington Worldwide on April 7.
Bellway Homes Ltd (North West Division), supported by planning and development consultancy Lichfields, will carry out the development of a mix of 108 detached, semi-detached and terraced properties, including 32 affordable homes, along with 12 apartments.
Outline planning permission has also been granted for the development of a new primary health care facility, which Bellway will support through a five-figure health care contribution package.

Kirstie Oakey, planning director at the Manchester office of Lichfields, who secured approval, said the new homes are needed to help meet the strong demand for local housing.
She said: “Tanyard Farm is a terrific community development, creating a sustainable residential neighbourhood within walking distance of local schools, shops and amenities. Together with the addition of a new healthcare facility, it will undoubtedly contribute positively to this part of Lymm and the wider area.
“We are continuing to work with property developers and local planning authorities to ensure other schemes across the North West region are seen as viable additions to local housing stock, providing people with good quality, affordable homes.”
