WARRINGTON Wolves’ mascot Wolfie was on hand to help put youngsters from Latchford Giants Under 15s through their passes at Zero Gravity Safety in Warrington.
The rugby boys worked well across all areas including, completing a session in emergency first aid, accessing a confined space unit wearing escape sets (full breathing apparatus) and climbing the 15-metres training tower on site. Luckily, the sun was shining and 10 of the boys braved the full climb to the top and competed for the quickest time.
For lunch they had freshly baked pizzas from “Working Mans Kitchen.” Paddy Sneath the owner was once trained by Zero Gravity’s Managing Director Ben Swain.
He now works full-time running his own Pizza business.
Latchford’s Hooker Tom Howard said, “Going into the confined space unit was the best, I’ve never done anything like that and I didn’t expect it to be so hard”.
Sales manager Mike Horrocks said, “It was great to spend time with such a confident bunch of lads who showed tremendous teamwork and bravery, we have seen some grown men panic in the situations we put them in”.
