Police step up patrols at Lymm heritage site following return of anti-social behaviour

THE recent nice weather and school holidays have brought anti-social behaviour involving youths near the historic Slitten Gorge at Lymm back on the police radar.

Police are stepping up patrols at Old Mill Close after anti-social behaviour issues involving youths around the wall jumping into the water.

After bringing them down and words of advice the youngsters went off on their way. There were other items left from another group that were collected away from the location.

A police spokesperson said: “As stated on the sign the Slitting Mill is a heritage site and fragile and not for climbing on, we will continue to patrol this area moving forward.”
