HUNDREDS of theme park goers with a need for speed headed to Gulliver’s World in Warrington for the launch of a brand-new car-themed area complete with two new revved-up rides.
The theme park resort in Warrington welcomed visitors for the official launch of its new ‘Gulliver’s Gears’ area, which includes two exciting new rides – the ‘Grand Prix Racer’, and ‘Overdrive’ – as well as a host of play attractions and ride-ons.
The Grand Prix Racers roller-coaster takes those race drivers brave enough on a fast and furious journey filled with terrific twists and turns.
Overdrive, one of Gulliver’s World’s most daring rides, is a 360-degree thrill that temporarily turns riders’ worlds upside down.
Craig Clews, resort director at Gulliver’s World, said: “It was fantastic to welcome so many people to the opening of our new Gulliver’s Gears area, where young thrillseekers – as well as the young at heart – can get revved up and take a ride on the new Grand Prix Racer and Overdrive rides.
“Gulliver’s turns 45-years-old this year, and what better way to mark the occasion here in Warrington than to open up a brand-new area of the park where families can make even more magical memories.
“We love finding new ways to entertain our customers and to enhance what we do, providing families with a fun day out, for great value.”
The Gulliver’s Gears area was launched with a weekend of exclusive activities, including an invite-only event on Friday 31 March, before a Gully’s Pit Stop party over the weekend, complete with race-themed face painting, photo opportunities with Gully and Gilly Mouse, bubble machines, and car inspired music.
Entry to the Gulliver’s Gears area is included in the standard ticket entry price.
