Lorry fire on viaduct

FIRE crews from Warrington were called to the M6 Thelwall Viaduct early today when fire broke out involving a heavy lorry.
A hosereel jet was used to extinguish the blaze – caused by overheated brakes.
No-one was hurt and firefighters managed to complete the operation without it being necessary to close any lanes so there was little impact on traffic..
The incident was over before the main rush hour traffic arrived.
