AN elderly man was taken to hospital at Warrington after a fire in the kitchen at his home.
The blaze – involving a pan on the cooker – was out by the time fire crews reached the scene in Longden Street, Latchford. But the kitchen had suffered smokelogging and the occupant suffered from smoke inhalation while removing the pan from the cooker and opening windows.
He was taken to hospital by ambulance as a precaution.
