Riley joins Quins on loan

WARRINGTON Wolves’ Chris Riley has joined Harlequins RL on a month’s loan with immediate effect.
Winger Chris, 23, is a home-grown talent who has risen through the Wolves ranks from scholarship and academy levels before making his first-team debut in 2005. Since then Chris has made 107 appearances, touching down for 66 tries and last year was second in the top try scorers of last season.
This year has already seen Chris be named as part of the England Knights squad and this loan spell at Harlequins will provide him with more game time within the Super League and continue to develop him as a player.
Wolves’ Head of Coaching and Rugby Tony Smith said: “This move will give Chris the opportunity to play some regular first-team rugby. He is an experienced Super League player and at present we are unable to give him as much Super League game-time as we would like. This opportunity arose at Harlequins and Chris was happy to take it and play in the Super League on a more regular basis which will help prepare him for when he returns to us here at Warrington.”
The club has also extended Lee Mitchell’s loan period with Harlequins for a further month.
