A BEHIND the scenes glimpse of Warrington Parish Church, St Elphin’s, is being offered to mark its special heritage.
To celebrate more that 657 years of Warrington Heritage the landmark church is opening its doors on Wednesdays and Saturdays until September 17.
More than 655 years of Warrington’s history can be seen at the church, and even those who have been before may find something new to explore.
Attractions include Warrington’s oldest room, cannon ball damage on the outside of the South Wall, The Duke of Lancaster Regiment Chapel and the Regimental Standards in the Chapel.
The church is inviting people to visit and worship, or just to attend the special open days. They are Wednesday’s from 2pm to 4pm and Saturdays from 9.30am to 3pm.
