One casualty taken to hospital as investigation reveals suspected arson was accidental

UPDATED: FIREFIGHTERS and police attended a suspected arson incident involving a kitchen fire at a property on Stafford Road, Warrington, shortly before 7 am this morning.

At 06:53 One fire engine from Warrington attended a fire in the kitchen of a house on Stafford Road that left the kitchen smoke-logged.

A hose reel jet was used by firefighters in breathing apparatus to put out the fire and a high-pressure fan was operated to clear the smoke.
One casualty was taken to hospital as a precaution and police attended as it is believed the fire was started deliberately.
But an investigation revealed the fire was accidental.
