A TEAM from Warrington Disability Partnership (WDP) took part in a 10k run and raised more than £4,000 for the project.
The 25 runners braved the weather to complete the Bupa 10k Run and the money raised will go towards Disability Awareness Day.
Val Caldwell, of WDP, said: “On a cold and windy day in Manchester our supporters shivered in the rain whilst our ‘elite’ runners achieved some amazing times – some finishing in less than an hour!”
Tommy Hammond, who completed the run in 58 minutes and 24 seconds, said: “The atmosphere was electric and better than ever. The feeling of making it to the end and seeing thousands of people in front of you, and behind you, was fantastic.”
WDP’s mascot, Ollie Bird was on hand to give the runners encouragement along the way.
