Firefighters attend three incidents involving fuse box fire, garden fire and deliberate fire on disused railway line

FIREFIGHTERS were called out yesterday evening to three incidents in the Warrington area involving a fuse box, a garden fire and a deliberate fire on a disused railway line.

At 23:17 crews from Lymm and Warrington were called to reports of a fire at a property in Oldfield Road, Warrington.

The fire involved a domestic electrical consumer fuse box unit that supplied several flats. One hose reel was used to extinguish the small fire.
All persons in the property were accounted for and firefighters checked the flats in the building to ensure there was no sign of fire spread.

Earlier in the day, shortly after 6 pm one crew from Warrington was called to reports of a garden fire at a property in Longford, Warrington.
Firefighters used one hose reel jet to extinguish a garden fire at the rear of a property in McKee Avenue, which had spread to a fence panel.

In another incident, shortly after 6 pm one crew from Birchwood was called to reports of a fire on Severn Road, Culcheth
Firefighters used one hose reel jet to put out a small fire involving waste that had deliberately been started on a disused railway line in Warrington.
