New bandstand to open

A BRAND new bandstand is to be opened at Warrington’s Walton Hall Gardens to replace one destroyed by vandals last year.
The Mayor, Cllr John Joyce will perform the official opening ceremony on Sunday, May 15 at 12 noon.
Greenalls Brass Band will be there to provide traditional brass band music and there will be a performance by the Mike Jones Folk Experience.
The new bandstand was commissioned for Walton to replace on destroyed by fire in an arson attack last year.
It is Victorian in style and is now also licensed for civil ceremonies.

    Not before time. When are the Council going to rteplace the Bandstand in Bank Park which was destroyed by fire some years ago and for which the council received an Insurance payout?
