THE University of Chester’s 18th annual Diversity Festival runs from February 27 to March 10 – and some of the events are being held in Warrington.

This year’s theme is Action for Change and will focus on steps that can be taken to ensure inclusion and belonging in communities.
Some events will be in Chester and some online – but there will be a number at the new University Centre in Warrington.

Festival organiser Kathryn Leighton said: “There’s something for everyone, and as the events are open to all I’d suggest finding a session about something you may have no knowledge of, or something you may be curious about, because that might just be the right session for you. There are sessions covering ADHD, eating disorders, autism, menopause, gender identity, consent, allyship, recovery, religion, changing attitudes to race through history and much more.”

Events taking place in Warrington include:
February 27, 10am: Supporting carers in the workplace – a workshop for managers and staff.
February 28, 10.30am: Understanding eating disorders.
March 7, 12 noon: Hidden figures, a movie star and the women of Bletchley Park.
March 8, 4.30pm: Consent and healthy relationships workshop.
March 15, 3pm: An introduction fo Healthwatch Warrington.
